Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival to Valletta and transfer to hotel. Grand Harbour Tour

This Grand Harbour Tour of Valletta and Vittoriosa offers a fantastic excursion around Malta’s historic Grand Harbour. This natural port features many picturesque creeks and imposing fortifications. During the tour, you’ll have the chance to capture incredible photos and enjoy stunning views of Valletta and the Three Cities from sea level as you embark on a short cruise aboard a traditional Maltese ‘Dghajsa’ boat.

First, we’ll stop in the city of Vittoriosa, also known as Birgu, to glimpse into Malta’s rich maritime history. Birgu can rightly claim to be the cradle of Maltese history. We’ll then continue on to Valletta, the capital city of Malta. This living testament to Baroque architecture was built nearly five centuries ago by the Knights of St. John. Over the centuries, Valletta has welcomed emperors, heads of state, artists and poets, and is now the permanent seat of the Maltese government.

Dotted with charming cafés and wine bars, this UNESCO World Heritage city is one of Malta’s top tourist attractions today. Valletta boasts a treasure trove of palaces, auberges, churches, cathedrals, imposing bastions, and priceless paintings. It also provides a stunning panoramic view of Malta’s magnificent Grand Harbour, often described as the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.
